Ordering Process

Orders must be paid in full when placed (online or in person) and will be handled in the order they are received. Ready-made and in-stock items may be shipped within 2 business days. However, if your order includes any Made-to-Order items we will hold the entire order and ship everything together. If you need to order an item that is out of stock, please contact us. 

Made-to-Order items will be placed into our production queue and will be completed in a first in/first out sequence. Lead time required to complete your order will differ depending on the time of the year, volume of items requested, and number of orders in our queue. The expected time to complete Made-to-Order items ranges from 1–4 weeks depending on time of the year and number of orders in our production queue.

If you have questions about your order or timing to receive an order you wish to place, you can contact us at any time – we are always available to assist you. 



All items that are ordered from our website are pulled from the same stock that is in our physical boutique. The only exceptions to this are the Rac'N'roll's and any made-to-order item (see above). 

We use a courier service to ship orders and charge a flat shipping rate when your order is placed.  However, depending on distance, volume and weight of your package there may be additional charges - if so we will advise prior to shipping your order. 

You will be advised when we are shipping your order with tracking information.  Depending on the area, you should receive your order within 1–7 Business days from the date it is shipped. However we cannot control weather or other interruptions that may impact this timeline. If you need your order shipped more quickly please contact us and we will advise the additional costs to ship it "rush".

If you order on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday your order will be picked, packaged and shipped within the first couple of days our boutique is open again. 

Local customers also have the options to select "pick-up". Any "pick-up" orders will the picked and put aside in our boutique and ready for when you can come by the shop. Anyone coming to pick up an order must have the order number and name on the order from the electronic receipt. 

The customer will be responsible to pay for shipping for any returns. This includes any items that were part of an order that would have qualified to received free shipping initially.  

Exchanges and Returns

Dancewear including leotards, shorts, leggings, dance tops, activewear and other garments (excluding undergarments, tights and socks) can be exchanged or returned up to 30 days after purchase as long as the item has not been worn and has the original tags attached and in the original packaging.

Dance shoes including, leather & canvas ballet slippers, leather and canvas jazz shoes, tap shoes, half shoes/turners and warm up booties can be returned or exchanged up to 30 days after purchase, as long as they have not been worn, they have no noticeable nicks, scuffs or other damage and they are in the original box or package. 

Hair pins, hair nets, kinesiology tape, bath salts, hair accessories, rhinestone jewellery (excluding earrings) can be returned up to 30 days after purchasing as long as they are unused and in original packaging.

Due to hygienic reasons, items that are non-returnable & final sale are:

  • all tights
  • all earrings
  • makeup, cosmetics brushes and sponges
  • lip balms & lip care products
  • body scrubs & exfoliating products
  • Apolla shocks & socks
  • foot thongs, foot undies, toe pads, toe spacers & Joy-A-Toes,
  • undergarments & all bras
  • eye lashes, eye pillows, lash elixir, and face masks. 

All Made-to-Order items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Once your order has been started and in our production we will not be able to change your order. If you wish to change and item in your order to another size or colour, you will need to check with our production status to see if your order can be modified. Your order can take from 1-4 weeks to complete depending on how many orders we have ahead of yours. If you need to place a second order, your new order will be placed in the queue from the time and date of when the new order is placed. Keep in mind that items ordered on different dates may not be ready at the time. 

Clearance items are final sale. Clearance and one of a kind items cannot be made in other sizes or colours - they are sold as in-stock items only. 

Special Order Items: Shoes, dancewear or other items that have been ordered in a size or colour specifically for you must be pre-paid in store or by draft order. These items are Final Sale and do not qualify for return or exchange.

Please keep your email receipt as it will need to be provided for any returns or exchanges. 

The customer will be responsible to pay for shipping for any returns. This includes any items that were part of an order that would have qualified to received free shipping initially. A refund will only be issued once we have received and evaluated the returned item. Items must be packaged for shipping in a manor that will not damage the product being returned. 

Store credits will only be provided on a case by case basis.

Exchanges cannot be made for online orders. The customer must return the item in question and place a new order for any items needed. A refund on the returned item will be issued once the package has been received. You will receive your new ordered item from 1-7 business days of when the item is shipped. Certain items do not qualify for returns as they are final sale (See list above). Contact us if you are uncertain about a product that is on the final sale list. 

Exchanges can only be provided in person at our boutique for items that qualify for exchange or return. 

If your order is received incomplete with a defect or damaged, please advise us and we will investigate and find a solution. Our goal is to ensure you receive the best possible product and customer service. All staff and management of MOD Dancewear & Boutique will do our best to resolve each situation fairly and expect our customers to be respectful about final decisions and offerings.
